Normally here we don’t have any posts that are not directly related to MCR news, but this is something thats really important to me.
A 13 year old girl tragicly hung hereself recently. The media have chosen to blame the “suicide cult” of Emo. Acording to tabloids such as The Daily Mail Emo is a ” self-harming youth cult which glamorises death”. But then, what else would we expect from The Daily Mail, a news paper which has shown several times in the past that they don’t care about fact, just selling papers? Obviously this girl had emotional troubles, and I cannot imagine what her family most be going through, but the papers seen to be dismissing her obvious problems in favour of making rock fans evil again. Feelings of depression and suicidelness are serious, and not to be taken lightly. If you need someone to talk to, The Samaritans have a helpline, as well as an email address.
I’m sure i’m not the only person who feels MCR have not only improved my life, but made me feel cofident enough to be happy in myself. Don’t give people any other reason to see MCR fans as the loyal loving family they are. We are not monsters.
“This is a band that definitely wants to save your life” - Frank Iero
I wish I could make this post longer, but i’m out of time.
